PART OF APPLICATION LETTER

 

a.   Letter Head

The letter head contains the company name, trademark of a company, type of company, complete address and also the symbol of the company. For example :

b.   The Dateline(Dateline)

If you want to write a letter, you can write the date in British or American. For example :

c.   The Inside Address

The address in the inside address is the address of the recipient. For example:

d.   The Salutation(Greetings)

With Salutation, we will find it easier to greet or call the intended person with a greeting like.

·        Dear Sir

·        Dear madam

·        Dear Mr. Tuwir


e.   The Attention Line

Meanwhile, in simple terms, the attention line contains people or leaders of a company. For example:

·        Attention Mr. Wind Fri

·        Attention Mrs. Siti Alwiyah

·        Attention Mr. Eko Pujianto

 

f.   The Subject Line

At this point, our Subject Line must outline the purpose of the content of the letter that is made so that the reader will be easier to understand and also to attract the reader's interest. For example:

·        Subject : Salesman's incentive Compensation Plan

·        Subject : the canceling of the PT. Kalipasir Jaya

·        Subject : the ordering of shoes “spotex”

 

g.   The Body of The Letter

From the name, we can also guess that, "body = body" so in the body of the letter we provide the contents of the letter in detail, it's different from the subject line. If in the body of the letter we express the intent of the letter so that the address and the person addressed to know the whole. For example :

Contains the full name or initials of the author/company leader.

The enclosure notation is an appendix that is included but on another page. For example :

Return Information

1.     It is now permissible to only include your name, E-mail address and cell phone number. It is acceptable to eliminate your address due to privacy and safety issues. Be sure your E-mail address is mature and professional. Ideally, it should contain parts of your name for ease of use.

 

Inside / letter address

2.     It is very important that you address your letter carefully. After spending time making your letter perfect, you do not want it to be directed to the wrong person or get lost in the mail.If there is a contact name on the ad, address your letter to that person. (Mr. John Smith)

 

Salutation

3.     This is also known as the greeting. The person’s name should be followed by a colon (:) or left blank. Do not use a comma. (Commas are permissible for use in personal letters; not business letters.)

 

 

Body

4.     The body of the letter contains four basic parts and should be three or four paragraphs long. These paragraphs should attract the employer’s attention; state your interest in the company and position; arouse the employer’s desire to interview you; and request that the employer take action in the form of an interview. (AIDA)

 

Clossing the letter

5.     Finish your letter with an appropriate Complimentary Closing (Sincerely, or Sincerely yours,). Leave enough room to sign the letter before keying your name. Do not forget to sign it. Remember to include an enclosure notation at the bottom.
